Good Day, After Dealing With My Intermitant Starting Problem ,i Am Left With One Final Option. The Ignition Switch. The Instuctions That Are Posted Are For Earlier Sl . I Have 1996 Sl320,and It Has A Different Collar Than The One Posted. Was Tolled That The One Pictured Was For 1980's Sl. Does Any One Have The Newer Model Instructions. Thank You

You can also go to Mercedesshop.com and look up LeakUK. He posted a step by step pictorial procedure to replacing the ignition switch.

I searched for posts by LeaUK (not LeakUK by the way), found 30 posts, but not the one you are talking about. Any other idea?

Not sure if the entire dash needs to come off like on the video but nevertheless you should find this usefull:

Should you come to the conclusion that you do indeed need to remove the dash then browse through these ones:
