First Generation AMG Body Styling VS Final Generation AMG Body Styling

In my opinion, the 1st geneation AMG body styling is the rarer and more aggresive styling for the R129. The later one is cool as well, but it looks less sportier and a tad too bulky for my taste.

I think it does not matter that much.... no one, except a few 'initiated' or 'crazy' like us can see the difference, really Personally I could not care less about the plastic. The wheels that come with the sport package are a bit better to my taste, but again, not a huge difference.

I really enjoyed the pics here of the first generation styling, thanks for the great pics!
However I wanted to say that I have always just LOVED the later style AMG sideskirts, I think one just can't beat them... On a silver car they really come to their own I think...
Not so sure about the AMG bumpers though... I like the original non-AMG design bumpers, especially the front ones, all of the original designs. As a matter of fact I would be perfectly happy with just the later style AMG sideskirts and the original non-AMG bumpers on mine…

I really like both of them but in the end prefer the final generation b/c it looks less "tacked" or "added" on.

I am going with second gen....it does have cleaner lines and more seamless as lincoln said. But in the end I wish I mine had either one.

I vote for second generation. I like open rim design, which shows cross drilled rotors and give ligher feel of this heavy car.
Smooth lines especially in lighter color of latest AMG kit makes it bold and elegant at the same time.

I would go with the second edition. love the boot spoiler on the first edition. Second edition kit with first edition boot spoiler, best of both worlds.
