What is the life expectancy of the oxygen sensor? i've got around 150k miles, and going over all my service records it has never been replaced. Should i replace it? my spark plugs are fouling out after a week... and i get a occasional hessitation get i go to accelerate.

I don't know the answer to your question, but you can easily evaluate your oxygen sensor with a multimeter. It is explained well here: http://www.mercedesshop.com/Wikka/EngineControls. The article also discusses reading codes from OBDI cars (the R129 SL through model year 1995).
