I am replacing the soft top on a 94 500SL, the body is charcoal metallic (monochrome) with light gray interior. Would the light gray soft top color look better than the original black? Also, if anyone has pics of this color combo, could they please post them?
My personal preference is for standard black on a European car. You'll see a lot of American convertible tops in other colors and they compliment the car nicely. But Euro's don't seem to take a change.
And if it's any help, I've looked at a lot of SL pics on eBay over a long period and rarely see any tops in another color. This tells me that you'll have less trouble when you come to sell it if you stick with conventional black.
