seat adjustment

my 91 SL have a problem with the seat adjustments.
Sometimes frt driver seat cannot move forward n backward while all other adjustments are ok .
How can I solve this problem?

It might just be the seat switch. you can try pulling the plug off the back of the switch and using a jumper wire to operate in place of the switch. if you can figure out what pins are what. You can use a meter to determine if the switch is making a circuit when you move it in the desired direction.

If the memory positions have different front-back locations stored and the seat responds to these but not the switch, then you can be sure your problem is the switch or its wiring.
