A friend at work's father may be selling his white 72 450SL with (only) 120k miles. He said it's in great condition. What's the market price for something like this? Thanks!
There was no 380SL in 1972. The 107 series came out in 1971 as a 350SL. In 1972 the 450SL also became available and in 1974 the six cylinder 280SL was released. The all alloy engined 380SL (and 500SL) did not come along until 1980 when the earlier iron block engines were discontinued. Around 1986 the six cylinder 300SL became available, the 420 replaced the 380 and in some markets (US, Aus) the 560 became available. The 107 series was finally replaced with the 129 series in 1989.
