What kind of milage do you get with your SL? - Benzworld.org

I get about 21 in the city and 26-28 on the highway. Anyone get better or worse? My car is a 84 380SL. I love the car. A friend told me that she gets 25MPG in her 99 vette in the city and 33 on the highway. I was shocked! Morgan

I have a 1980 450SL (160bhp). I get 13 mpg using 87 ocatane. If I could get 20 mpg, I would be extremely thrilled.

I hope that wasn't a laugh at the corvettes gas milleage. I own a 02 z06 and i can hit mid to high 20s all day long.

I have owned 3 vettes, and they all get in the mid 20's. They are much more efficient than my '89 560sl, but I still love my Benz.

ok I know this is an old thread but on my 1980 450SL I get about 18.5mpg on Highway, but I use only 93octaine Amoco Ultimate.

1988 560sl Sunoco Ultamate 94 only no a/c 19.2 mpg max after started using 94 a/c on, 16.5 mpg +/- depending on how often I excelerate hard. I've only had the car a few months. It was my father's... so this isn't the best test. It is a luxury car and it's hard to drive it slow. As long as it runs well I don't worry about the milage.
