Greetings Benzworld members, elites and outstanding contributors,
Well, I did it. The road wasn't that long and I didn't get the R107 that I thought I would in the beginning (some of you may remember my posts on a certain Zender 026 http://www.benzworld.org/forums/r-c107-sl-slc-class/2675321-570-675-meet-first-time-bellevue.html#post14724113), but I have an R107 now.
I'd like to introduce you all to a car I'm naming "Blue Diamond". Born in 1986, Blue Diamond found her way to San Francisco where she lived a long and happy life before brief stints in Atlanta, Georgia (with the 1st owner's son) and Austin, Texas (with TXPaddler a Benzworld member).
Blue Diamond has seen some road in her day and her odometer currently reads 224k. I took Blue Diamond and my wife out for a sunny day drive around Seattle on Friday and she had a great time, and my wife was happy too Her water pump appears to be making a little noise and once Frank the mechanic returns from his trip to Germany, I'll get a proper diagnosis and the fun will begin.
Blue Diamond was a happy 4 speed automatic transmission until one day when TXPaddler decided that she needed a manual transmission. So back in 2014, TXPaddler sourced a 350 SL 4 speed manual transmission and Chuck the mechanic replaced the 4 speed automatic with the 350 SL manual transmission in 2015. She is fairly happy with the new transmission but does slip out of gear sometimes going downhill.
I won't provide all the details of how Blue Diamond came into my possession, but before Blue Diamond, my first MB was a White Euro 500 SEC with an AMG body kit. That car now lives happily with TXPaddler in Austin Texas.
I've included some pictures and a little more information in my garage and here are few pictures from Friday 4/21/2017. I think she looks pretty good.
Thank you to everyone who has provided, and will provide comments on my posts in the future.

It was a good day to be out with the top off and that made us all pretty happy
