This is a test to see if it is possible to post, and then if there is a positive response for the thread..
I removed the wire diagrams from my manual in order to scan them.. I believe they might be clearer than any available online, please respond and i will start another that covers all of the ones in the manual.. :)

this is the 1973 diagram

My concern is if the files are easy to open in the current state, and if it is useful....

if there is a better way to offer these diagrams i am open to comments.... this is what i have available at work..

Tom,

That is the best image I have seen of the '73 wiring diagram. I too have the service manual and have scanned the pages. My source is not even as clear as your scanned image. The detail with respect to Bosch terminal designation at the instrument cluster and elsewhere is very easy to read (lots of information there).

Thank you,

These are out of the service manual, chassis and body, model 107, volume 1.... reprinted 1993 edition...

There are a few more diagrams for the automatic climate control that i will scan later today and include them... :)

ETMs appear to have started in 1974 - don't know how they were organized in a service manual or a separate manual (see section 24 on CD). My service manual includes the old style wiring diagrams to 1976. It is an earlier edition than Rock's copy.

Almost everything I've scanned is too big to post here.

Something to watch for. Got a copy of the wiring diagram for my 280, VIN #'s 000001-000988, I'm 000605, and found about 20 discrepancies.
Different color wires than shown, more circuits shown on a fuse than existed, or fewer, non-existent relays etc. Finally found the second
edition, supposedly VIN#'s 000989-001835 which fixed the errors I had found but added different discrepancies. A friend who works for Benz in Germany said
it was common to make electrical changes during the year which were only shown on a new drawing whenever it came out,
they didn't go back and change the previous drawing. So the alterations made on my #605 didn't show up until the 2nd edition, #000988 and up. DROVE ME NUTS.
Hopefully this was only true for the D-jet 280, but be warned.

Very nice. I cropped all the margins and printed on 11x17 paper.

This is the best resolution I've seen. I nominated the other thread (with all the diagrams) for egv107.

Thanks for taking the time to produce these.

Has anyone ever seen prints for 1972? I'm using the 1973 prints and haven't yet run into discrepancies so maybe all is the same between the model years?

Very nice. I cropped all the margins and printed on 11x17 paper.
Now take it to a copy store, I use Staples, and have it blown up to something larger.
I like 18" x 24" to use at the car and 24" x 36" hanging on the wall. Makes following the wires easy.
You can also put the file on a thumbnail and they will work with that.

These pdfs are really fine

I think there is probably too much difference between these and my '80. I'm try to track down an issue with the ACII and other scans left me blind. This is a good effort! Specifically the issue one of the A/C power on switch leads has a blue wire. Scanning rest of forum.:nerd
