Looking for a good Indie

Does anyone know of a knowledgeable, honest, affordable, independent 3.8L mechanic near Riverside CA.

Reminds me of the old axiom -

Cost, quality, performance - pick any two

I just got my 450Sl back from the shop. European Car Clinic in Ocala.

They are a bunch of gnarly old bastards but they do an awesome job and the total is not really that shocking. They refuse to use Chinese parts.

This visit I had a crank seal replaced, Rear flex disc, Full transmission services and shifter bushings replaced. Oil and filter change of course. It drives like a new car. They did a full check on the drive line including check wheel bearings, Flex Disc's and center bearing.

Ask for Dave.

I have no association with them except for the good work they have done on our two Mercedes's

He is not near Riverside, but if you want to get your car to the SF valley Vik at Mr MB is honest, fair and knowledgeable.. He only does what needs to be done.. I realize its a long trek from Riverside, but he is a great guy and an honest shop who knows these cars
