I'm trying to find out if my seat are properly setup in preparation to replacing the seat leather. My left seat has the back adjustment Knob on the left. My right seat back adjustment is also on the left. Shouldn't the right seat back adjustment Knob be on the right?
Thanks. Mine is an 83 with the left arm rest. So mine is supposed to have the right side back adjuster on the left. I wonder what the designers line of thought was on this.
Early ones without center armrests like my 73 had inboard (center) adjusters. But the seats are mirror images of each other so that swapping adjusters right to left and left to right put the adjusters on the outside, allowing me to mount a center armrest. Slick!

Walt; ^^all above is accurate. Note the seat leather replacement is not affected by left or right placement of the knobs. The leather is fit then cut to match the holes.
