Hi, thanks in advance for your help. I need help identifying which bolts are holding the front and the rear brake calipers on and what size their are. I am working on a 1986 SL560 and I need to replace the rotors. Thank you!
Sorry I don't know offhand. But, most information of that sort can be found in the stickies. EGv107. Or in the Chassis shop manual also available on-line (link in stickies)
Here's a pic of the fronts on mine. I'm thinking that the bolt size is the same as your lug bolts 12 x 1.5mm. Once you remove the caliper see if one of your lug bolts will fit.
Are those hex socket cap screws? Interesting the ones on AA look like regular hex head bolts like we have on the older 107s. Maybe just a generic picture? Your Parts Search Returned 5 Part(s)
Reuse the old ones with locktite or Ecs tuning has them at 6.80 each and grind them to 2.250.
M12 x 1.5 x 77 mm which is 3.000 long or the
Dealer has the correct length ones at 39.00 each.
