As some of us like cars that get less than 15 MPG, pump prices are welcome news. How much is gas in your neighborhood? Getting close to that magic $2 mark here in Columbus Ohio. Screenshot on 12/15/14:
Folks in North Carolina are eagerly awaiting $2.00/gallon Gasoline.
Here it is $2.49/gallon - $2.59/gallon
The Gas Stations are happy here with their big fat margins :-(
If Ohio gas stations are making a profit at $2.10/gallon then our
gas stations are cleaning up making around $0.50/gallon. Lets
figure ... when I fill up my SUV pumping in 20 gallons, the
gas station is getting $10.00/profit. What a rip off.
We're in the $2-teens, should be some around the $2 mark by this weekend.
EVERYTHING costs more due to stock market speculation and an overabundance of lawyers.
Edit: ok did some reading and see its a multitude of factors, including our shale drilling in the US, and low prices actually work well to weaken Isis.
$3.60/gal where I get my gas, but I use 89 octane non-ethanol. Although expensive, it's not my daily driver so I fill it up once every other month or so and it averages around 18 MPG combined.
