You do have to fold rearward the first movable top bow as you
are lowering the top. If you don't move that bow rearward,
the top will feel like it is binding.
Gentle. The video recorder looks like instead of understanding the mechanism, they are going after brute force. Once the back is vertical, the whole thing tilts back together as the front folds back. Gentle.
On my car there is one bow which tends to fold the wrong way, probably from a failed elastic strap. Though I can't tell squat from the video, that is what I would be looking for.
Hey guys, thanks for the feedback. When I saw the car yesterday, I discovered the cause of the problem. A flat head screw in the folding system on the passenger side was the problem. This screw is located near the shiny chrome decoration thing. Somehow it unscrewed itself and prevented the folding proces.
