That's funny. I re-drilled the filled in holes to put the spoiler back on my 500SL. Six nuts 8MM IIRC. You end up with six holes that need to be filled and the boot lid repainted.
I removed mine years ago, the reduced weight makes the lid open with force. Next time I repaint the car, the spoiler will go back on to make the car original.
In addition to the 6 nuts I recall two phillips screws that hold the lower ends in place.
Wow! You work fast! I'm usually decision made, try to save money, change mind, reconsider decision, spend money on something else, sell car, make new decision. I like your approach better!
Thanks. I removed the antenna because;
1. it was broken
2. didn't really like the look of it.
3. i was getting the rear of the car painted anyway
4. when I installed the new stereo i had a strip antenna mounted under the dash which works fine.
Let me know when you arrive in Perth and have some spare time... I'll take you for a run in the car and we might find a pub along the way to drop a few ale's.
Fair enough. quote ; Let me know when you arrive in Perth and have some spare time... I'll take you for a run in the car and we might find a pub along the way to drop a few ale's. I like the sound of that its thirsty work looking at slc,s
