Does anybody know if those seats would fit mey 560SL? They do come with the original tracks so that wouldn't be an issue other then maybe redrilling the floor board and maybe some shims for leveling.
Trying to get some more room (I am 6'2") plus a whole lot cheaper then getting mine redone (have some splits in the seat cushions). I really don't want to dish out mega bucks for Recaros.
I'm not sure how those bad boys mount, but your car seats mount from the sides. remember you have a box beam under your seats, and the floors in a 107 barely keep you from seeing the pavement let alone having a seat bolted to them !
Well, I really never checked how my stock brackets are mounted, I just assumed that there are four bolts holding the brackets to the floor board.
I am out of town until Friday, once I am home I will check. The seller did send me all the measurement of the seat. I will compare that to what I have now and will go from there. I looke at plenty seat threads and somebody even put some Saab sets in an SL; those seats look bigger then the stock seats.
The biggest problem with getting extra length is that the standard seatback at shoulder height hits the body. If the outside at shoulder level was tapered in you might get some extra length.Don't know if the seatbelts would be ok though.

I know the AMG seats on eBay are probably not tapered enough to clear the soft top well but it looks as if the backrest is not as thick as on the stock seats. The seller wrote me that the backrest is 22" wide on top.
Those seats on the eBay (UK) link are Porsche 928 seats. They really look good in there plus I like the reworked center console. That is another good option.
I doubt it since they come out of a 4-door. Not a big issue since the backrest should go forward enough to reach back there....nobody sitting in the back though.
