Ok, I have had this car since Tuesday and it ran fantastic Wednesday and Thursday, I guess to show me how nice it could run. This morning it fired up with a slight miss at idle, seemed to clear up after a couple of miles. Then after another startup it was missing at idle and though 2K rpm and then it smooth’s right out.
Seems to come and go while you are driving around.
I did put in some Techron cleaner in a new tank of 93 oct, wonder if some stirred up.
Car sat for 14 months.
Had a fresh tune-up before it was parked.
Checked for vacuum leaks at all connections in the motor compartment, found nothing at this time. Looks like most has been changed out and looks good. Sprayed connection and hose with some carb cleaner and found no leaks.
Guess I will put some more miles under it and see if it clears up.
Yep, going to check both of them in the morning. Just took the wife out to dinner in it and it ran like crap. She said it felt like a small block with a high lift cam, just did not run as well.
If the wires and plugs check out, my guess would be that the Techron has loosened some deposits in a few injectors, and thay have not worked through. Hopefully they will disolve. You may want to put another jug of Techron in at the next fill.

This is my thinking, might just need to run it a bit. Will see after I check it out in the morning.
Pulled the plugs today and they looked ok, dark tan / little black but all the same. Wires looked ok also, could use a new set but with the way the plugs look I don't think it's the plugs or wires. Found a bad vac line on the back of the intake but no change.
Took it out on the highway for about 30 miles and it drives smooth at highway speed. Miss comes and goes while it is at idle and up though 2K or so. Still think it's a fuel problem, maybe just need to put some more highway miles on it.
