I was thoroughly entertained. I stopped midway through the first clip to got out and bring back lunch so I could watch something enjoyable while I ate.
I did find it amusing that two guys did in one day what it took Nobby and John about 3 years to do.
Also, 10 years in a container and all the vacuum was working properly? And it seemed to have a 560 spoiler under the front bumper as well.

Ya, Dig. TV has a way of skewing time lines. I'm sure there's a lot of behind the scenes things going on. Those guys look like wizards, as presented.
Very enjoyable episodes, though.
A couple of bloopers here and there. On their test drive, the wind blocker was up and down like a hooker's panties.
And when they folded the top, they neglected to assist the second bow to fold back.
And bleeding the brakes, they did the CLOSEST caliper first.
I'm sure there are more, but those are the ones that stood out for me.
But the best line of all was "The 2.8 engine was the best engine Mercedes produced"....or something to that effect.
Made my heart swell.
Thanks for posting the links.

Individual parts, even used, are crazy expensive, but if you put them all together into something functional and they're suddenly worth next to nothing. How does that make sense?
I found it to be entertaining but as far as restorations go I found it to be oversimplified. I think we all know, there just had to be much more work to be done. And as far as rust is concerned, if there is rust, I have yet to see a 107 that only had one rust bubble. The best part of the episode for me is that it was like a marketing video for these 107's. Certainly aught to boost interest of 107's over in Europe. I can see the Brit's taking trips over to Germany now hunting for the old SL's.
enjoy the show as well...
there is only 30 minutes of show so i'm sure (like others) that they are forced to edit a ton of stuff and time to make it fit...
entertaining none the less..

Wheeler Dealers is a good show, if not quite "fake" (not real sale at the end etc etc) from here in the UK. they have a website (google it) and a new series is out soon. they have also covered a W201 190E cosworth and a W123 saloon in the past, amongst many other marques.
the front spoiler that car had is the later post '86 one that all SLs in europe had as standard past 1986 to 1989. i've retrofitted one to my 280SL.
the rust they saw on the wing is obviously from the much and stuff thrown up above the headlamps (common issue) and not from a stonechip as they mentioned.
