Well. You're at least in my top 10.
Dig, any chance you ever had of convincing me to hang out in OT just went down the toilet.

For the preservation of what little naiveté is left, I stopped clicking Dig's links...

I watched one of your forays onto OT some time ago. Methinks your frustrations at some posters obstinacy far outweigh the entertainment value for one of your temperament.

And that is by no means a negative.

Why would I ever want you to come up to OT? I value your sanity and common sense here too much to chance it being lost up there. It IS fun to see Dave get b-slapped up there.

Actually, that's not true. Most of the Mods hang out in OT from time to time. He's something of a moderator's pet up there. Really.

All I'm saying is that I didn't consider that the pull from the crank to the cams is the same distance even if the chain was loaded in an ammo box like a machine gun. The car would still be timed until it ran out. I am surprised that the tensioner would take up that much slack.

It is very easy to install a 560SL chain into a double row 380SL. You just have to shorten the chain before installing it.

Gentlemen, I can't see how this engine can run with an extra 12 links on the chain unless the cam sprockets are a different size, which are not... Your problem is fuel delivery n my opinion.Best of lack P.s. How's your fuel mileage? I would also check the O2 sensor. when they get lazy, hesitation can occur

It wouldn't, it was silliness prompted by silliness. Some got the joke (nobby), I guess some didn't....

In regard to the OP's question, when was the last time you did a thorough tune-up? Do you have a CIS pressure tester?

You Canadians always stick together. Besides, it was Dave who got me going on the possibilities.

But you know that Dave frequents OT, as do I, therefore anything we say is automatically suspect.

Dave is a little less frequent. He's off my Luke list, however.
