< radio static over voice communication ala Apollo 13 Houston Mission Control...>
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh....Houston...?..<static>...Mission Control here..Go Nobby....<static>...Ahhhhh..Yeah....Houston...Ahh...we've got an opinion here....yep..it's definitely an opinion.......<static>......
It's probably good that I'm not a pilot because there's obviously a lot I don't know about it. That flight violates pretty much everything I think I know about the way flight works on a fixed-wing aircraft.
No - I have seen fixed wing props and jets do just about everything the B-29 model did (except the spins - most jets don't come out of spins very well, but props do). But, your would not do those maneuvers in a real B-29; most of them would seriously overstress it, causing catastrophic structural failure inflight.
I loved the X-1 launch - even though the actual X-1 was carried tucked into and beneath the bomb bay, and not under the wing. Nonetheless, some serious modeler's skills at work there.
-A 107 driver and retired pilot. Yeah, what's with that?

Spin recovery, something they didn't teach in flight school (part 141). I learned the hard way. I was acting a fool with my new ticket and had a friend that wanted to go into a stall. I had done this dozen's of times without any problems. They teach stalls and recovery in this school. This time the little plane stalled and fell over to one side and into a spin. I never did this again and never will. I had about 3K feet to learn alot.
