This was a fun little thread I did a while back but I submit it now as an instructional device for DIY threads.
Take lots of pictures of everything when doing this kind of work. "Pose" with tools as if you are actually removing or installing something to give viewers a more clear idea of what you did.
Open an account at an image holding site (Flikr, Photobucket, etc.) and upload your pictures. Then you can link them to your post where YOU want them to be and you can include pertinent comments atop each picture. This site's "Manage Attachments" feature has unpredictable placement order and all of your comments must go at the top, which makes for confusing DIY's.
Hope you enjoy!
Remember this issue? Badly mangled Front License Bracket.
Reese wanders over to check things out.
He's about to give his opinion. Let's move on.
Sorry, Pal. It WOULD be quicker but we won't be using that today. Let's get the right stuff together, m'kay?
Now you're talking. Let's see. New bracket ($25 US), new stainless screws/washers/nuts, snap over gloss black plastic screw covers, flat and phillips screw drivers, a couple of ratchets and sockets, pliers, black Rustoleum spray paint, Helper and Helper's favorite toy.
Remove the only bottom screw nut holding license plate to frame.
Dig's Edit: THIS is an example of posing with a tool. I am not really doing anything but holding the screwdriver in place with one hand while I snap the picture with the other.
Remove the only top screw and nut holding license plate to frame.
Yikes, that's nasty!
Remove the 2 bolts, washers and nuts that hold the bracket to the bumper using the 2 sockets and ratchets (use extension on back side).
Remove crappy old bracket from front bumper.

- Include pictures of the tools you used with descriptions of socket sizes, etc.
- Include pricing as well. It helps folks plan a task if they have an idea of the expense involved.
- Also, show pics of your new parts so everyone can see all of the bits that went into your DIY, as well as what you took out.
Hope you enjoy!
