Hello, I have a 79 450SL driver's side power window switch with numbers on the underside and 4 colored wires. Does anyone know the color -> pin assignment? Thanks in advance!

Yes I do. I am installing a security system with window rollup. I will look at the wires and numbers and get back to you.

What I remember right now is:

two wires come from the car one pos one neg.
at rest the two wires going to the window motor rest at positive.
when you push the button one way one of the wires to the window motor switches to neg. When you push it the other way the other wire switches to negative.

The only diff. between the pass and driver side are the color code of the wires adds a stripe.

Did that make any sense?

Oh yea. the switch pins are not symetrical so they will only fit the plug one way. The pass switch and the driver side are the same switch.

I saw a posting where you asked someone for the color codes/ pin locations for your window switches. Did you ever get them and would you share the info with me,

I doubt very much you'll get much of a response from him!

Ok I read my post again it was rather poor. My plug does is not numbered but Now I have a picture drawing program.

I need help w/ same problem color and placement, but it's for a 79 450 SLC and especily the right rear where the wires came out of female connector 2 piece little box while changing out. Can some one please help me.
The wires colors are red/w yellow stripe , white/wblue stripe , green / w red stripe, and a solid brown one, which I was told.
the base of the female holder has numbers in it 1,2,3, and a bland for I'm hoping is the brown. HELP ME PLEASE.
I don't knownow to attach pic's.
