Model 107 Service Manual Library Help
OK, who knows the trick?
I loaded the 107 CD, made sure correct Flash Reader is installed, along with the correct version of Adobe Reader, and I get nothing, nada, zippo. Windows explorer doesn't ever 'see' the CD in the drive, and yes, other CD's work.
Any ideas other than bad CD from MB....we know that can't happen!

Windows... the only virus you'll always find in your comp.
Go LINUX!
Thanks for your reply. Since I can't search my D drive where the CD is supposed to run, looking for a file called 'matrix', html or otherwise in my C drive produced 20 hits, but that file is embedded in others that I can't open. I'm not sure what you had in mind, but whaterver it is, dumb it down for me. Thanks-

Lucky you that thou I am 20000miles away from home, I always carry my 107 service manual cd. SOrry, it WAS "matrix6.htm"
(drive letter):\PROGRAM\matrix6.htm
where "(drive letter)" has to be replaced with actual cd drive letter, usualy "D" or "E".
Should you just have library in a folder somewhere on your hard drive, just open subfolder /program/ and look for file named "matrix6.htm".
If your windows is as factory preinstalled and has no adjustments by anyone, than you have file extensions hidden (a HUGE security issue). Look for file named "matrix6" only and its icon should be as that one of IExplorer (Blue letter e).
Hope you find your way!
You'll never part from that disc ever...

Djenka018,
I cannot look for the file you indicate as my CD drive 'reads' empty even with the 107 Library loaded in it. So before looking any further for matrix.htm, I need to get my PC-CD drive to recognize that a CD is even loaded. Thanks for all your help-

Does your computer have a CD-ROM or CD-Recorder drive in it? The reason I ask is that a recordable disc that hasn't been closed can't be read by a standard CD-ROM drive. If it has a CD-Recorder in it, then you just got sent a bad disc. Call MB and they should send you a new one. In the meantime, if you've got a specific thing you're looking at, I could send you that section.

Scott, thanks for your insight. The physical drive in question is a CD/DVD R/W. DVD's, it turns out, play the way they should with both audio and video. However, the MB 107 Library along with now any of my Audio Only CD's are unrecognized by my PC. I've been all over the machine, settings, Microsoft for a new driver, etc., but at the end of the day, the machine just does not 'see' audio formatted CD's, music or otherwise.
So, I'm thinking it's not the CD that MBUSA sent, but this PC or a setting, or an error, or a dll, or yadda, yadda, yadda. Whatever it is, I think it's off to the friendly neighborhood PC fixer to get to the bottom of this. I'm outside my skill level to fix this.
Thanks very much for the offer of sending files from yours, but for now it won't be necessary; I got what I was looking for originally from an old 'paper' manual I almost forgot I had. Paper....can you imagine!
How long did it take to "set up" your hard copy manual? After all your efforts, I hope you are not TOO disappointed with the CD. I use mine as a beer coaster.
