Hey ppl,
I have a SL 450 1075 and cannot seem to find the engine number on the vehicle.. does anyone know where the likely places would be where this number would be located.. Thanks

Not sure about the '75 but the ID on the 1075 was usually located on the right rear upper haunch. Brush the fur/hair aside and look for the burned in markings in the animal's hide.

You'll find the engine number on the back of the block, facing the firewall. You'll need solvent, rags, a flashlight and a mirror to find it. The number will resemble this: 117982-12-0xxxxx. Good luck -- you'll need it.

Thanks for that and i would also like to know the location of the CHassis number aswell if you wouldnt mind...

Left door jamb, left lower windshield, registration, insurance card, title...
