At the MBUSA site you can get the "Service Manual Library" on cd for $20, or you can get individual sections of the service manual on cd for $20 to $50. It doesn't say was what the Service Manual Library is good for but it doesn't sound particularly useful.

I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts.
The $20 CD contains only "highlights" from the manuals involving the most common repairs, besides being terrible scans. I wish MB would put the whole thing on a DVD, scanned better.

I have them both and the paper is far more comprehensive, plus....you can leave it out next to your work area with the pages open. Much harder to do with the laptop.

Speaking of the Paper vs CD. I have paper AC and Engine manuals but only the cd for the rest.
I can't read the color code on the schematic for the two park light wires (L&R) in the bundel under the light switch. I am installing a security system and I know I need two diodes but I don't want to pierce every wire if I don't have to.
I have numerous sets of paper manuals, a 74 original, an 83 original, an 89 original and a 94 reprint of an 83. The newer ones are obviously reprints of the 74 as the picture quality deteriorates the newer they get. If you can find a 74 jump on it, absolutely clear photos. It also has those super cool 3 page, pullout, drawing schematics while the newer manuals cram it all on one page.
