I think it's just the perspective of the camera that makes it appear that high. I had to kneel to get that kind of picture. The hood star only comes up to my face when fully open and I'm about 5'8" if that gives you an idea. Mine certainly doesn't go as high as I would like it to be. I just wish it had a service position like my brother's 190E.

Excellent mods, Bob. Particularly like the seats and center console work. Great imagination and workmanship. Congratulations again, enjoy the summer drives. Just took the hardtop off my 129 today. The SL's always feels like a new totally different car when I make the switch.

Nice ride for you too, NASCAR....great roads to drive back there. I was just back to visit my dad in NE Oklahoma last week and always miss having my cars of choice back there to drive some of those state roads.

Here are photos of my baby. I haven't come up with a name for her yet...but my husband has plenty of adjectives when he works on her! He's a muscle car guy, so the "german engineering" is sometimes pretty frustrating for him.<br><br>
