1975 450 SL motor
I have a 1975 450 SL with a 4.5 liter engine and I have a loud ticking in the left front valve cover could this be a lifter. Does this engine have solid or hyd. lifters? Thanks for info.

It sure could, and they are Hyd. buggers.. I'd get in there sooner rather then later make sure you're not beating the cam up!
Best,
Jonathan
