I could be in the market for an SLC

a 1980/70's that is.
What are your thoughts on the SLCs?
Should I keep it original or shove an AMG 5.5L engine in there?

Outside of the chrome wheel well possibly hiding rust it looks ok. Driver seat seems to need new upholstery.

To me the attraction of a 107 besides the classic iconic look it's the ability to go topless. But some people are really into hardtop coupes.

So to each its own, I guess.

Maybe that is what his budget can support. The market has been tough lately.

I am considering returning to pole dancing but I have gotten a bit thick on the edges and my ass has gotten smaller.

Agreed. That should apply to any "collector car" purchase.

How does the saying go...."Nothing's more expensive than a cheap Mercedes."

Awww, jeez....what a pity. I love those Euro headlights and bumpers.

Was that originally a "grey market" car?
