The shooter lifestyle can be hazardous to your health...or to the health of those around you.

Shortly after 4 a.m., a homeowner in McLoud, Okla. awakened to the sound of a burglar breaking into his house. The homeowner retrieved a gun and fired at the criminal, striking him once and causing him to flee. The home invader was captured by police a short time later while seeking treatment at a nearby hospital.

An investigation revealed that the criminal was already subject to a felony bench warrant for failing to appear in court for a case in which he was charged with three counts of possession of a stolen vehicle. (The News-Star, Shawnee, Okla. 01/31/13)

“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America 's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America 's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. ... Americans deserve better.”
~ Senator Barack H. Obama, March 2006

While driving a car he stole less than 15 minutes earlier, a thief in Ceres, Calif. spotted a 69-year-old homeowner in his garage and attempted to rob him with a knife. The homeowner responded by retrieving a nearby .38-caliber handgun and shooting the criminal twice. The wounded robber fled the home but was captured by police in a nearby yard.

An investigation revealed that the criminal already had a warrant out for his arrest, resulting from his lack of participation in a court ordered alternative work program. (The Modesto Bee, Modesto, Calif. 11/05/12)

Ron Paul Stirs Up Right Wing With Tweet About 'American Sniper'
'No Remorse' Sniper Veteran Shot Dead

In reaction to Saturday's shooting death of 'American Sniper' Chris Kyle, Ron Paul stirred criticism amongst his peers this afternoon, tweeting:

'Chris Kyle's death seems to confirm that "he who lives by the sword dies by the sword." Treating PTSD at a firing range doesn't make sense' -- @RonPaul

Kyle, an ex-Navy SEAL and 'remorseless' sniper was shot and killed at a Central Texas gun range on Saturday alongside a friend.

Kyle, 38, who wrote the bestseller 'American Sniper' about his 150-plus kills in Iraq and his friend Chad Littlefield, 35, were found dead Saturday about 50 miles southwest of Fort Worth, Texas.

The two reportedly were shot by 25-year-old Iraqi war veteran and Marine Eddie Ray Routh, who is now in custody and is the only suspect in the shootings. Kyle and Littlefield had taken Routh to the shooting range to help him with his Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome (PTSD).

Kyle had been deployed to Iraq multiple times, where he set the US record for sniper kills.

According to the Associated Press, Kyle told Fox News' Bill O'Reilly in January 2012 that he viewed his Iraqi victims as savages and didn't think of them as human beings. "They live by putting fear into other people's hearts and civilized people just don't act that way," he saidadding that he has no regrets about the 150+ lives he had taken.

Asked by O'Reilly if he himself had any PTSD issues, Kyle said, "None of my problems come from the people I've killed."

When Kyle's military career ended he started Craft International, a security company with the motto "Despite what your momma told you, Violence does solve problems."

He was an outspoken opponent of gun control.

Yes, civilized people invade small nations and murder their citizens for fun.

Martin Luther King Jr. High School coach shoots attackers

(WXYZ) - Police sources tell 7 Action News that a women's basketball coach from Martin Luther King, Jr. Senior High School shot two men who attacked him as he was walking two basketball players to their cars in the school parking lot.

Police sources say the coach was walking the two girls to their cars when two men allegedly approached and one pulled out a gun and grabbed him by his chain necklace. The coach then pulled out his gun and shot both of them, according to sources.

The man who shot the attackers was 70 years old, according to police.
