N JAY, I have a serious question I always wanted to ask. How come there has never been a law where restaurants or frozen food producers are not allowed to sneak pork into things most would never dream of pork? (Like salisbury steak, lasagna, meatloaf,) Most recently I was tricked into eating pork with marie callenders turkey. It has fucking bacon bits in it. I'm tired of being tricked like that.
I can't figure how some jews never rallied for regulations. I can understand them not caring about muslims, SDA's or weird christian sects but surely there are jews who are not "fully" kosher yet still don't want to eat pork much less be tricked into it?
For me it actually makes me sick. I've heard it commonly does that to people who are not used to it.

In the general the story of the holiday goes like this:
The two most common are Potato pancakes, called 'Latkes', and jelly-filled doughnuts called 'soufganya'.
The tie in is they are fried in oil. (As in the oil that lasted for 8 days)
In reality, they just give you heartburn that lasts 8 nights, but close enough.
The Chinese make a version of Latke but they do not squeeze enough water out of the potato so the food is not crispy as I like it.
