I like a few different flavored single malts but I'm not really into any blended types. Especially that Chivas Regal crap [IMO ordinary scotch in a flash bottle and box]
-
Laphroaig - 18yr old - peaty base
-Tamnavulin - 20 yr old or older - woody base [The new stuff is ordinary]
-
Edradour - anything over 12 yrs old- sweet from bourban casks. I had a taste of the good stuff while staying in Pitlochry last year. They have a great tour of the distillery.
-Talisker - any year, all very good, has a different flavour, kind of sweet and slightly peaty.
-Oban - I just like it! Mainly because my Dad used this and Laphroaig when he introduced me to the subtle tastes of single malt scotch whisky. He bought it because he went to school in Oban [grew up just out of town in Balvicar]
