You are right, new BMWs are getting better-looking each year now (especially since Bangle is gone), something I'm not sure we can say about Mercedes.











I'm even considering buying one, for the first time in ages.

Better is indeed the best word for the new style BMW's, not great or anything, but better. Mercedes is really losing its styling mojo and needs a turn around asap. Lexus rarely has it but sells on quality. Cadillac has the best styling but lack of refinement makes it a non starter. Jaguar is as lost as an egret in an oil spill. So few cars today are genuinely good looking, and I blame the emphasis on consumer focus groups.
