I'm sorry Don Vito...the W211 is just too small. I'm less comfortable getting in and out of it than my SLK (as the latter doesn't have a B-pillar to navigate around).
There are lots of cars that are comfortable for the average sized driver, but can be less than easy to get into the drivers seat.
I find the W124 is like this.
W210 chassis... perhaps one generation too old for this discussion. Great value and durable. 30-31 MPG on the HWY with @ 25-26 MPG mixed driving is a nod to good engineering and efficiency.
98-2000 E320s with less than 75K miles are more common that you think. For $5K - $8K you can pick up a great value. 2WD or 4Matic... sedan or wagon... diesel or gas... all great choices.
Due to the fact that the 98-2000 pre-facelift models are getting older with higher mileage, they will require a bit of minor maintenance.
My 98 E320 has been sitting for 13 months now. Can't wait to get out of AFG to get back to my sled. I know that I'll have some issues when I put in a new battery etc... part of the deal being deployed.
Long live the W210 pre-facelift E320s. Rock solid.
