I'm going to go shoot some fish using my AK with the 30 rd clip and bayonet lug.

Then I'm going to drill for some crude.

Oil that is.

Texas tea.

“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America 's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America 's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. ... Americans deserve better.”

What exactly are the facts? And WTF does you little creationism pic have to do with the OP? Did you read the link? Did you not get the question posed in the OP? Do you have an opinion or are you too busy defending your messiah to pull your head out of his ass and make an intelligent response?

This thread is ridiculous and has no basis in facts. You should be embarrassed to post up this drivel

well, for starters, have you read ESPN's response to the column referred to in the original link?

Here it Is

Firestorms get started in a variety of ways, especially on politicized issues.

ESPNOutdoors.com inadvertently contributed to a flare-up Tuesday when we posted the latest article in a series of stories on President Barack Obama's newly created Ocean Policy Task Force, a column written by Robert Montgomery, a conservation writer for BASS since 1985. Regrettably, we made several errors in the editing and presentation of this installment. Though our series has included numerous news stories on the topic, this was not one of them -- it was an opinion piece, and should have been clearly labeled as commentary.

Basically, it's one man's opinion about fishing regs, not news.

I actually didn't see the ESPN response in all honesty. In spite of that the proposals being made by the anti-use organizations are very worrisome for peolpe who use the outdoors. I've seen hunting areas in Ca dwindle over the years to the point where you practically have to get permission from land owners to access any productive hunting grounds. There was also a push just last year to close waters off shore to all fishing commercial or recreational. I'll have to look that one up for the final result. So when I see these type of proposals they hit home.

Fishing regs, especially saltwater, are based on a faulty understanding of biology -- the maximum sustainable yield. This concept is why regulations led to the collapse of the cod fishery at Grand Banks.

The MSY is based on a model. The model for any given species is incomplete so "standard assumptions" are used to parameterize the unknown.

the result is a death spiral in every fishery where the MSY is used. It is the primary model of regulators because it gives definite answers to problems. Not because it gives good answers.

Not that you are biased in any way.... by using those two names together.

maybe you should rethink that.
