They say it is the coldest weather in China since 1951, which means it has happened before, cold comfort though (excuse the pun)

My dad just left out of Michigan (for Fla) which just saw the deepest snow over a 3 day period since ~1950. We've been waking up to below zero (F deg) temps for the best part of a week now, here in Chi-town.
Al Gore wants to tell me polar bears are floating away on ice flows.
Send em here to the ~43rd Parallel . There's Ice On My Lake, in the back yard for em,,HA!

I haven't been to any place colder than 0 degree Fahrenheit. The weather in Chongqing is about 10 degrees Fahrenheit. I can wearing shorts and running outside.

It's been below zero here in Iowa too, -25 at night. It's great tho, fullmoon last couple nights, out walking in the woods with 2-3 feet of snow scrunching under your feet, clean crisp air , gotta love the seasons man.

Ball cap, lightweight gloves, hooded sweat shirt, Yaktrax's. Amazing the sweat a guy can workup on stroll in these temps.

Global warming my ass, I wish;

The mercury sank to minus 21.2C (minus 6.2F) in parts of the Scottish Highlands, considerably colder than some home freezers, with bitterly cold temperatures everywhere else.
