So, snuffing a single microscopic cell (that may or may not exist) within your own body is attempted murder, while killing your neighbor's dog remains a property crime.

Morality be damned.

You are out there dude...

Out. There.

Staying on point, uh, yeah. I can't see any other way to reconcile the laws with what is known scientifically.

Perhaps you'd care to offer forth what number of cells comprise a unique being. Because what your suggesting is that a woman can do whatever she wants to any cell in her body - that they become hers. Talk about a Black Widow law...

Hahahaha....who knows. Anyway, characterizing animal cruelty as a mere property crime is another inaccuracy. This hasn't been your day.

It doesn't matter. If you don't know with certainty, you fall back upon the subjectivity of practicality or morality.

First breath. Simple.

She can. Until it is born and breathing it is hers to decide.

That is another matter than the one I described. Animal cruelty is your obfuscation, not a topic of mine. Shoot your neighbor's dog, weigh the consequence, then get back to me. Other than unlawful discharge, you'll likely wind up in civil court to remedy a property crime. Now try your neighbor's pig, and let me know how that goes.

According to the laws of the states, that's not true either.

Late-term abortion - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quote:
The United States Supreme Court decisions on abortion, including Roe v. Wade, allow states to impose more restrictions on post-viability abortions than during the earlier stages of pregnancy.

As of April 2007, 36 states had bans on late-term abortions that were not facially unconstitutional (i.e. banning all abortions) or enjoined by court order.[16] In addition, the Supreme Court in the case of Gonzales v. Carhart ruled that Congress may ban certain late-term abortion techniques, "both previability and postviability".
