I seemed to remember a quote of yours about the economy is doing fine....

the day before the stock market tanked... and kept tanking for 2 yrs.

Jay & McBear saved me a whole lot of money beginning about a year ago or so. For entirely different reasons, they both said the economy was going to tank. When they agreed on outcome, regardless of the mechanism, I took heed and shifted the majority of my investments out of common stock funds and into federal bonds and muni's. As a result, I stayed almost static through this recession. I started going back into common stock mutual funds in April. I think I'll go about 40% S&P tracking mutual fund maybe 10% in international and leave the remainder in bonds for another year or so.
