The main threat that Kim poses is to regional stability. China seeks regional stability in order to nurture a healthy commerce environment. Sooner or later, China will take whatever steps it deems necessary to stabilize the region.

The world is a different place than it was in the late 1930s and early 1940s. North Korea is not about to invade us. The Japanese military was more than our equal after Pearl Harbor and they posed a very serious threat. While North Korea can harm us, they actually don't represent a grave threat to the United States future existence at this point, and if they do something that adversely affects Russia, China, Japan and the US, an appropriate response that ends the conflict will be made. I am not clear on what that would be, but Lil Kim's antics will not be tolerated if he does anything more than make outlandish statements and fire missiles off that don't actually work. Along with nuke tests that are inadvertently extremely low yield.

A unilateral, preeminent strike by the US that escalates the problem is not what is called for at this point. Especially when we have established that we are unable to make accurate assessments of threats from countries run by guys that run off at the mouth a lot. Because we have an inordinately large population of testosterone and other hormone tainted red meat eating, yahoos that got us into Iraq for all the wrong reasons.

Our record to date in Afghanistan and Iraq is not one of having done much to quell the problems, with our military. Because a military response like the one we made was not the right move - this called for something different than a conventional war approach - and we went there without any real plans. More Americans have died in Iraq and Afghanistan, by a factor of two or more, than died on 9-11-2001. I am sorry but I don't see the response as having been very effective. Bin Laden is still making videos and living free.

But hey, you can continue to act like we live in a Hollywood cowboy movie set world. I don't mind at all, because someone has made sure you don't make decisions of significance.

OK Jimmy I understand now:

(1) It's all Bush's fault.
(2) We lost the war in Iraq.
(3) Owe Bama will win in Afganistan and make everything better.

You win...............

1. 9-11...not a cause for nukes. +1..my vote!

2. If I am correct the island that was hit in order to start WWII was a very important one with our defenses on it, at a very significant location military wise.

3. When comparing events the time must be calcualted into your opinion to be held valid. During WWII our population was significantly less, meaning the loss was bigger (Technecally we now have more to spare, or life (an individuals) is now less valuable, because...well if you don't know, then I am wasting time from here on). Did 9-11 kill more? Hypothetically it should have. If so, it was because of our population growth (the amount killed in 9-11-95 would have been much less), but understanding the affect of the attack is the key, not the location, thats just part of it.
If you get your ass wooped and they spit in your face, it hurts more, but does not change the danger you face of getting it wooped again. Do not focus on the spit or you will miss the pain (affect), that your smart ass body is making you feel for a reason, and only see the disrepect or frustration caused, that is only an product of us as humans being able mentally to process what the attacker meant by the action, which means nothing unless you have a rep to protect. But we all know a rep will get you f0cked up, trying to keep it.

"It is like a finger pointing to the moon. DON'T focus on the finger or you will miss all that heavenly glory." Enter the Dragon, Bruce Lee

I could go on, but you should agree by now!

But on the other hand too much spit in the face can be bad for your health in the long run. Too many 9-11's can render us weak, too tolerant, and maybe even uncertain of a adiquate retaliation if there is not one. But to fly right, a nuke will never be a solution a should never be resulted to. Physical action taken in response to an attack of any kind is a result of not having the mental capacity to solve it without violence. Whenever violence is chosen, most likley the person or group did not have enough intelligence or enough time to use his or her intelligence to solve the problem or threat with non-violent resolution. Violence is a sign of weakness. Bullies and fighters as kids grow to be brain damaged losers as adults, those who had to fight back with their minds are now most likley successful and live long as we would like our home to.
