I have Slingbox Solo and have been enjoying it very much I have to say.
I have no comparison for Hava.
The Slingbox works fine broadcasting the NTSC signal to my Computer in any country.
Most TV's that I have run accross in Hotels and such in Asia have the ability to swap PAL or NTSC. Really the only issue is the Sling Catcher I would think.
Even if you receive through your computer and then S-Video or HDMI out to your Flat screen, the PAL vs. NTSC thing should be irrelevant. Basically your TV would be acting as a monitor.
I like Slingbox. The need to record to Harddrive has not been an issue for me. If I want to record the show I have the wife pop in a DVD+R and record on the DVD recorder at home. Get much better picture that way.
That or I leave it on my DVR that the Slingbox is attached to.
That being said, the Hava is much cheaper.
