Loads! But skijoring is much more enjoyable if you're less than fit, plus your dog (if applicable and of size) will enjoy it tremendously as well.

I have a 16 lb male Jack Russell Terrier and a 90 lb female Rhodesian Ridgeback. The JRT will likely go after every wayward squirrel with the RR joyously bounding along behind him. Sounds like certain death for me.
