This is not a simple Sadam we are dealing with here and it gets deeper all the time. Now they have WMD and have proved it to the world twice. The also have the rockets to launch them.

If anyone was to take military action then now is the time before they go into mass production. This is not the middle east we are dealing with. So South Korea are not stupid and will work with the Americans on this before it is too late. I would hope so anyway.

Let the Chinese deal with them.

China will veto any increased sanctions anyway, so let them have their turn.

You may not have a choice. NK is considering U.S. actions as a Declaration of War....

China will be involved no matter what.

You are correct in that China would be involved, but I doubt (at this stage anyway) that Pyongyang have more than one warhead and their missile tech is a little behind the times.

So on this premise the one nuke they hold would land on south korea and then the north would be obliterated by china lol. My desk is still safe, I think

Regardless of the number of nukes, China's biggest fear is having to deal with the vast number of potential NK refugees.

One thing's for sure: Those refugees won't be heading South....their communist neighbor would be the likely choice.

That's for sure, as the south would have been nuked, it would not be a healthy place to run to and china would attack from the north and west which would leave refugees no place else to go unless they are very good swimmers lol.

But the other scenario is that NK nukes SK and then china nukes NK, this way there would be zero refugees and do not think for a second that they would not do it.
