Ask away, but demand at your own risk. I have always held to belief in an inverse correlation between radicalism and relevance. Why not choose to be more relevant? You're new here. I don't know how long you have been criticizing Mr. Obama, but many on the right have been criticizing him since before he took office. To me, these folks have effectively neutered themselves. The harsh criticism from (true) conservatives and the left directed at the Bush administration was aimed at policy, and did not begin in earnest until after they chose to lie our country into war.
"I have always held to belief in an inverse correlation between radicalism and relevance."
I just bet that when Einstine came on the scene that there was someone there who told him the same thing.
Fortunately for Albert .......time proved him right.
Not that I'm even remotely saying that there is a correlation between me and Einstine, ...... other than I believe that I am being proven right each and every day more and more.
Now let's talk a little about Obama.
When "the kid" threw his hat into the ring I did a double take. Not because of his color... though there are all sorts of racist bastards out there who would rule him out just because he couldn't get invited to the local 4th of July KKK picknic, but because he had never done anything noteworthy.
Then I listened to him and he grasped my attention in a positive way. I actually started looking for him in the news.
I told the wife that we should keep an eye on this yound man because he's going places.
Unfortunately... he then started exibiting some of that indeceincy that you mentioned ... then more.... then even more. Along with that he stareted shoveling lies about things that he was going to do when he got in.
Then he fell in with the wrong crowd and he started to grow fleas.
I feel that his campaign then became nothing but a disgrace and a pack of lies.
I actually wrote him after he had used "black" a few times ... ie... "I'm the black guy" and told him that I found that disapointing and should the candidate who just happened to be white say "I'm the white guy" then many would be offended.
My nieces husband was an Obama supporter right off the bat. At a family gathering Obama came up and he voiced his opinion that he was voting for Obama. I asked why? His reply was , "Well ...... he's black Unc"! I shook my head and left. I came back a few minutes latrer and got into a discussion with the young fellows and asked them just how would they feel if whites voted for McCain simply because he was white?
......now just what does me being "new here
" have anything to do with anything other than the fact that being new is a statement of fact that I just haven't been here very long ?
I believe that everything I say is relevant .... just as I believe that everything you say is relavant ....... especially to those who agree with what either is saying!
