Global warming -- I drank the Koolaide

I've been onboard with the global warming theory for a long time, almost from the very beginning. IMO, the exponential human population growth is the underlying cause of the GCC effect. More people equals more greenhouse gases. To me it is an axiomatic biological product -- waste increases as a function of population. Regardless of the PARTICULAR waste, as waste accumulates, the environment degrades.

So what?

I also believe that each individual human being is of equal value to every other individual human being.

Your thesis project is to reconcile these two beliefs (or propose alternative hypotheses). I can tell you with no reservations that this problem gives me a lot of difficulty.

B

The biggest problems we are facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all and that’s what I intend to reverse.

"Bot", you cannot have it both ways.

If your theory is correct, you need to kill as many people as you can to bring gomeostasis back to "normal".

Now that's what I call an "alternative"!

To me, it looks like what we are increasingly facing is an incongruity between biological law and philosophical belief.

It is a fact that as our population increases, so must our impact on our planet. It is my philosophical belief that each man (woman) should be free to set his own destiny.

It is my belief that the tension caused by these (apparently) oppositional forces results in the diametrically opposed perspectives that divide us, politically.

I thought that's what wars were for.....

I do believe we are overdue for a humdinger, and that should take care of the problem.

Fairly obvious solution to greenhouse gasses. We need to get rid of all the greenhouses.

Does our ability to eradicate large portions of the earth's population at a single swipe create a larger footprint than that caused by the number of eradicated?

Zero sum? Should we start financing carbon credits now from China so we won't have to actually pay for them after Armageddon?
