No, the KJV was not "slapped" together. Nor were the writings from a single author as I stated before. Also christianity lasted through not only the Roman rule, but through the Church, and to this day hangs strong, despite those outside forces. Did they do temporary damage. Yup, and the church still does. BUT the Word is well researched for accuracy, and it's message(s) are applicable regardless of oppression. Take a look in China at its growth and see how it hangs tough, even against communism. Christianity is growing there at an exponentially fast rate.

I think you are getting your posts confused. First, I didn't use the "slapped together" comment. Second, this was the comment "Yes, the KJV Bible, which is based upon the version slapped together by the Council of Nicea, is it not?". And that is a correct statement.

Do you know why King James decided to make a new bible instead of using one of the many previous versions from the original translations of translations of the Fourth Century Combination that created much of the then current bible by Constantine?

ok, apples and oranges.
beliefs are beliefs... whether it's your god or no god.
so, it's not a religion. it's a way of life.

here's your proof, and btw, you are correct but at what direction are you going?
Christian generic" (rising from 8% to 11%) and "None" (doubling from 6% to 12%).

so, at this rate, you'll be down to near nothing when "none" keeps doubling.

have a nice day!
oh, I won't see you when we're dead....

because we'll be dead.. period.. done.. nothing! worm food.

I thought I heard an echo. With this one it is hard to tell.

Now I recall the sequence. It required the pointer. Too many miles on the road today.
