On the KJV, it doesn't really matter at this point. Your point is as if no other research has been done on the source material since that time. Quite the opposite. It has been tore apart and reviewed by religious factions for centuries, and it keeps coming down to specific books fit, and others don't. KJV was one source of compilation, Later was another. To this day there are scholars reviewing the source material, and the scrolls translationss, ALL are quite accurate with a few deviations that don't effect the over all flavor and meaning. Why were certain books put in and others not? Continuity!
Bottom line is the original writings of OT are there but in bad shape, and the Jewish did an excellent job of compiling. NT also, being much easier to put together since the greek language has changed very little in 2000 years.
You keep going back to a specific time of compilation, but that was just the starting point.
