You can believe anything you want to !
I can't speak for the "Republican Position"... or even the "weepublican" one either..... whatever that is.
What I can say is that Joe Biden has always had a problem opening up his big mouth when it need not be opened.
"IF" the butler would have said the same as Biden he would most assuridly be discharged, but to his credit he doesn't have loose lips.
Believe it or not .... Biden having a big mouth really doesn't have anything to do with the Republican Party. Neither Bush nor Cheyne stuck their hands in the slot in his back and moved his lips. They also don't make Obama break every campaign promise that he made.
Now you can try all you want to make all problems the Republicans fault and maybe there are some people with brain injuries who will listen and like the drones they are bump into things chanting "Yes We Can", but the fact remains that all problems now are Democrat problems and they just don't seem to have the where-with-all to know how to deal with them.
Democrats are in power ..... not control, because to be in control you must have a grasp of how to make things work ... nope! They're just in power. And now that they are in power they are starting to understand that accusing the Republicans of making everything bad is making them look stupid.
..... well ......... some of them anyway .... others are still just bumping into things.
Anyway... this is a thread about Biden having a big mouth .... why try to make it anything else?
If you note, YOU moved the conversation to "yes we can", not me.
And yes the Dems are in power, and in control. Have you seen any big banks fail lately? Have you seen the consumer confidence numbers or the trending of nearly every indicator, including unemployment figures? They are either flattening or improving, all from their downward spirals of just six months ago. Do you see, as you did six months ago discussions of DEEP Recession and Depression? NO. Do you see, as you did six months ago signs of bank runs? NO.
Are the problems fixed, NO. They took time to get to where they are, they will take time to get fixed but every trend shows that they are moving forward. Banks are even lining up to pay back their TARP monies. Cool, huh?
That defines control. And that defines "how to make things work".
As for Joe, if he wants to talk about the bunker in his basement, at a planned Gridiron Dinner where the jokes are prewritten for him, so be it. That says much that it is NOT the "bunker" that folks have their panties in a wad over.
It would make no tactical sense to have a small strategic bunker, where many government leaders had to converge in such a small confined area that required construction after 9/11 when Washington is chocked full of atomic bomb shelters from the Cold War that will staff hundreds. It is much easier to pull the VP out of the NO to the safe bunker than it would be to bring in hundreds of staff and directors into the NO if things get weird and would provide a much smaller footprint for any badguys to notice.
But let the rightwing blogsphere continue to churn much ado about nothing.
