Much of rural Kentucky is 98% white [which is why we are still a Red State in Senatorial elections. That appears to be changing as latinos are moving into many of the small counties. It is not a clean move in.
As with Missouri â€“ the big cities have accelerated the process, however - it took weeks after the election to paint MO red. North of the Missouri River is also much more moderate â€“ more like Iowa or Wisconsin. Needless to say as the cities grow larger with Latinos and other minorities the rural whites will become even more isolated.
