As far as I know, BWOT is an "at will" board. We are each free to post or not as we evaluate the amount of time and effort to make our points heard.
The other thing I assess is whether there is any, even a slight amount, of humility in the one I'm debating. I learned, after shredding your arguments a few times, that "I was wrong" or "I hadn't considered that" is not in your vocabulary. This goes clear back to when you argued that retail cash deposits are earned income, through several tax issues, Islamists vs Islam, AM radio access, the origins of the housing crisis, the Bush admin efforts to fix those issues, and on and on.
You're used to running the show, but BWOT is a free market of ideas, which leaves you a little off balance. Now that you are a moderator, your test will come.
I take it that with your response, you agree with Shane--you do own some of the guys on this board.
I don't own anyone. I am an equal opportunity player.
But I do like the "at will". It lets you avoid the hard questions when asked to prove an assertion that you can't quite get together.
As for shredding arguments, whatever lets you sleep at night. If you think you have "shredded", cool for you.
How does exchange of ideas leave me off balance? If this board was all one side the sound of harumphs and atta boys would get very boring, very fast. It is the exchange of ideas and diversity of opinion on this board that is the absolute best it has to offer. NOTHING is better than the give and take of opposing ideas and the learning that goes with it.
You seem to think that I don't learn or change direction. You are a relative noob on the board so you don't know what morphing has occurred since 2004 but that's OK. You keep being you and I will keep being me.
As for what you take from my response, as usual, you inferences are somewhat misguided. But great avoidance and slide...again.
