Apparently my point has been misconstrued.
I wasn't saying that Napolitano = Miers.
I meant that they are analogous: Janet makes as much sense for Obama as Harriet did for Bush. Hopefully the difference is that Obama is smart enough not to actually pick her.
Napolitano is far, far more accomplished than Miers. Miers was Bush's personal lawyer, and it was that fact more than anything else that led to the national revulsion over his choice. How does Napolitano compare to that?
