I hate dentists with a passion.

As a child we had a family dentist who was a psycho. There is no one in this world who's gonna tell me that the sick bastard was right in the head.

I was going to be overseas and out of the way for a period of time and it was determined by someone that I needed all my fillings removed and replaced before I took off.

Do to having Dr Giggles as my original dentist my teeth were somewhat screwed up, but a navy dentist fixed up everything over a 2 month period and they looked great and felt better than new.

Enter the new navy butcher dentist that I went to see at Treasure Island .

There I was figuring that I was getting two dentists at the same time to get the work done quicker, just to find out when they were done that the one was a fucking e-2 striking to eventually be a medic. The little prick was probably scraping some tub a month before and Dr Fuckstick allowed him to drill in my mouth.

Needless to say my teeth never felt the same ever again. I went overseas and within 2 weeks I had 4 infected teeth which got yanked in a field hospital because the doctor said that I needed more work and time to save them then I was allowed or they could provide.

I only pray that someday I meet up with those two fuckups and have a pair of linesman pliars in my back pocket!

Yeah, I've already gone in for the consultation, and just need to schedule the appointment, gulp hard and fork over the $1k in out of pocket expenses.

Wow! That's all? That is really a terrific bargain. I assume you'll be doing two implants and a bridge? Hurry up and get started, those things need to cook 4-8 months (depending on whether bone grafts are required) before you can plant the bridge. I have more titanium in my head than brains, which in my case, is probably a good thing.

German Guy...

...and another thing...

So I goes to the dentist last year and he says that he recomends having my teeth cleaned even though they look good.

Being a good sport I say OK and how much does that cost.

He says $200 and I shrug my sholders and say , "That's a full cleaning right"... "Yes"!

After the woman cleans what teeth I have... which is 15 I go to leave and am presented with a bill for $200 which I pull one c-note out and flop it down. The woman balks I say that's all I'm gonna pay ... the dentist gets into it and I aslk him how much does he charge to clean 32 teeth and he says $200 ...... needless to say that bastard got $100 and was happy with it when I was done explaining the finer points of reasonable billing to him.

By the way...... he also has to guarentee all work done on me for two years.

Why would anyone give a dentist big bucks for something like a crown just to have it fall off?

Works for me!

I burned through most of my annual dental plan doing the initial consult, extraction and follow-up consult. I'm estimating (for one implant), since I haven't followed up with the dentist to see how much the crown will cost. With my plan, the oral surgeon just does extractions and implants, while the dentist does the crowns. It may actually only cost me $500 out of pocket--thank you socialized medicine!

One implant will only give you one tooth, you can't anchor a bridge with one tooth/one implant. You need at least two implants. You did say you were missing all teeth in your lower left, didn't you?

Implant crowns cost quite a bit more than conventional crowns, BTW. Figure at least $1200 per.
